Leading Universities from Taiwan sign MOUs with Amity during their visit to Amity University

A distinguished delegation of academicians and senior members of the Universities from Taiwan visited Amity University, Sector – 125, Noida for signing of MOUs and to discuss several academic avenues in Taiwan for boosting the interaction between India and Taiwan. The delegation was led by Prof. Lih-Juann Chen, President, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan accompanied by over 40 members including Mr. Pao-Long Chang, President, Feng Chia University.

During the visit three MOUs were signed between Amity University and National Tsing Hua University, National Pingtung University of Science and Technology and Feng Chia University. The primary areas of collaboration that were identified by the delegation during the visit included Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Hospitality & Tourism, Agriculture, Medicine, Life Sciences, Nanotechnology, Microbiology, Clinical Science, Ecology, Environmental Studies, Advanced Materials & Devices etc besides several others.

Welcoming the prestigious delegation from Tawian Maj. Gen K Jai Singh, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh (AUUP) said “It indeed is an occasion of mutual privilege for Amity and the leading Universities of Taiwan to be signing the MOU agreements and is thereby a prominent step towards boosting the friendship and interaction between Taiwan and India for the future.”

Expressing his deep pleasure while signing the MOU with Amity Prof. Lih–Juann Chen, President, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan said “Taiwan is highly keen on attracting the brilliant Indian brains for higher education in its premiere Universities. There is great mutual benefit and progress expected out of the bilateral exchange of faculty and students between Amity University and National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan.” “Students from both Amity University and National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan have to be motivated to make optimum utilization of this education partnership between the two Universities” added Prof. Chen while extending a cordial invitation to students and faculty of Amity to visit National Tsing University of Taiwan.

Sharing his views on the bright prospects of the alliance between Universities of Taiwan and Amity Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Group said “ Signing of the MOU agreements between Amity and the Universities of Taiwan will mark a new era and history for the entire world. The collective efforts of the two Asian tigers India and Taiwan through collaborative quality research work, joint filing of patents etc will make them phenomenally emerge as strongest education contenders to the world.”

The signing of MOU between Amity University and prestigious Universities of Taiwan was followed by the felicitation of the esteemed guests by Dr. Ashok. K. Chauhan, Maj. Gen K .Jai Singh, Dr. Gurinder Singh Pro Vice Chancellor (International), AUUP and Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Pro Vice Chancellor (Academics), AUUP along with a brief round of Amity University Campus, Sector – 125, Noida which included visits to the various institutions of Amity.
