Amity School of Engineering and Technology organises inaugural ceremony of formation of ISTE Faculty Chapter
Amity School of Engineering and Technology organized an inaugural ceremony of formation of "ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education) Faculty Chapter at Amity University, Noida” followed by half day seminar on “Innovative Trends in Engineering & Technology”, held on July 08, 2011 at E-2 Seminar Hall, AUUP Campus Sector - 125 Noida.
The program started with lightning of Lamp & Maa Saraswati Vandna, followed by welcome address by Prof. K.M. Soni, Acting director ASET, AUUP, Noida. Prof. Ranjit Singh, Executive Secretary & Programme Director, ISTE addressed gathering about various aspects of ISTE.
Gathering was also blessed and addressed by Maj Gen K. Jai Singh, Vice Chancellor, AUUP.
Key note speakers Prof. Shampa Chakraverty, from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, New Delhi and Prof. M.N Hoda, Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Computer Applications & Management, New Delhi delivered interactive speech on “Innovative Trends in Engineering & Technology”.
The Indian Society for Technical Education is a National, professional, non-profit making Society. The major objective of the ISTE is to assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industries and other organizations. Ministry of Human Resource Development, CTE/DST/MIT/State Govts are well associated with the ISTE for programs relating to technical education.
This faculty chapter aims at providing a platform for faculty members from various disciplines in Amity University to interact with other professionals of the various fields and discuss the latest advances, innovations and practices followed at various levels around globe. Further it also provides the opportunity to cultivate fraternal spirit amongst the teachers, administrators, industrialists & professionals and bring about effective linkage between technical institutions, industries & society.
