Amity Business School orientation ceremony for MBA (G) students

MBA (G) class students joined Amity Business School on 6th of July 2011, after the initial registration – with the “Havan” they sought the blessings of God almighty. Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, ADG, ABS, Dr. Balwinder Shukla, Pro VC (A), AUUP, Ms Savita Mehta, VP, Media Department and others performed the puja. Parents and faculty blessed the students and showered petals on them.
The afternoon session was an introduction of the students to the ABS faculty and other dedicated support staff. This was followed by the inaugural address by respected Dr Sanjay Srivastava. He imparted several nuggets of learnings and advice to the new batch such as the 5 L – learn, laugh etc. It was followed by “Introduction to Amity Universe” by Wg Cdr SK Goel, Vice President, IAD.
Day 2 saw “Briefing on Academic Philosophy, Evaluation and Examination System” to the students by Dr. Balwinder Shukla, Pro VC (A), AUUP – She talked of the University in detail and explained to the students several expectations which they are expected to live up to.
Mentoring is a process very close to the Founder President heart and as well as an extraordinary support system to the new students – “Know your Mentors” was conducted by Ms. Mamta Mohan - the chief mentor and Prof. Kanwal Bhalla.
Later Self exploration and understanding through Psychometric Profiling was conducted by Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Pro VC (A) AUUP, and Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, Head and Addl. Director General, Amity Business School, AUUP. Maj General K.J. Singh – VC, Amity University – AUUP honoured ABS with his presence and blessed the batch of 2013.
