High level delegation from The Washington Centre, Pramerica revisit Amity to strengthen ties

A distinguished delegation comprising of eminent industry professionals and experts from The Washington Centre (TWC) Pramerica visited Amity University, Sector – 125, Noida to further boost the collaboration between Amity and TWC and develop enhanced interactivity and partnership. The delegation was led by Ms. Virginia Gergoff, Managing Director, Advanced Leadership and International Programs who was accompanied by five members including Ms. Sharon Talyor, Senior Vice President, Human resources, Prudential Financial Inc., Chair of The Prudential Foundation and Member, Prudential’s Senior Management Committee, Mr. Rene O. Deida, Senior Program Director, Community Resources, Prudential Financial Inc, Dr. John Praveen Managing Director, Prudential International Investments Advisers, Mr. Anurag Maini, Executive VP (HR & Training), DLF Pramerica Life Insurance Company Limited and Ms. Shivani Bahl, Senior Manager, Corporate HR, DLF Pramerica Life Insurance Company Limited.

Welcoming the esteemed delegation from TWC Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Pro Vice Chancellor (Academics), Amity University Uttar Pradesh (AUUP) informed “Amity University has collaborated with The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars (located in Washington D.C) with the signing of a MOU last year.” “Under this unique collaboration Mr. Gaurav Bhattacharya from Amity Institute of Aerospace Engineering (B Tech 2009-13) and Ms. Apoorva Sharma (I M Tech Biotech 2005 -11) from Amity Institute of Biotechnology were selected to do their internships for their first semester at TWC, US and it has been indeed a highly rewarding journey for the students as well as both TWC and Amity”, she added.

Expressing her deep pleasure in partnering with Amity Ms. Virginia Gergoff, Managing Director, Advanced Leadership and International Programs informed “TWC founded in 1975 is a unique educational center based on fully integrated mix of professional experience, academic coursework and real life challenges. TWC’s non profit professional academic internship programs bring together exceptional and dedicated college students from various countries and help them transform their potential into achievements personally, academically and civically.”

“It has indeed been an interesting and rewarding journey of partnership with Amity for its quality students apart from having invested its complete confidence and trust in TWC to nurture this collaboration further into thicker folds of mutual benefit and growth”, she stressed.

Sharing her views on the bright prospects of the alliance between Amity and TWC Ms. Sharon Taylor said “TWC greatly values its partnership with Amity and with the synergy of efforts from both Amity and TWC, a meaningful and culturally appropriate atmosphere of learning and development can be developed. TWC is serious about expanding its socially and culturally aligned partners all across the Globe and that happens to be an integral part of its very social evolving.” “Both Amity and TWC possess the asset of high moral value apart from unparallel business acumen and this will enable the duo to achieve phenomenal success in providing an excellent atmosphere cum platform for learning, development and mutual growth”, she added.

The visit was followed by the felicitation of the esteemed guests by Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Pro Vice Chancellor (Academics) AUUP and Heads of various Institutions of Amity along with a brief round of Amity University Campus, Sector – 125, Noida which included visits to the various institutions of Amity.
