Amity School of Insurance and Actuarial Science organises “UBERRIMA FIDES 2011
Amity School of Insurance and Actuarial Science (ASIAS) organized its two day festival (3rd – 4th March, 2011) “UBERRIMA FIDES 2011” at Amity University Campus, Sector – 125, Noida.
Presenting his welcome address during the inauguration of “UBERRIMA FIDES 2011” Prof. R. R Grover, Director, ASIAS said “UBERRIMA FIDES 2011 will make an excellent learning opportunity for the future Insurance professionals to grasp the nuances of ‘Insurance’ as an industry and as a profession.”
Sharing her valuable thoughts on “Insurance at Cross Road” Mrs. Tajinder Mukherjee, Chief Manager, United India Assurance said “Students of Insurance and Actual Sciences are extremely fortunate as they are in the era which helps them shape their career aspirations distinctly in terms of the availability of specific courses and programmes offered, unlike the earlier times when Insurance professionals were rarely prepared with any theoretical input at the Graduate or Post Graduate level to make it to the Industry.” Encouraging the students to join the Insurance industry Mrs. Mukherjee informed “India is a robust economy and is a huge attraction for the General Insurance companies all across the Globe. In 2000, the Insurance Industry saw a change with the influx of private companies and the Insurance has grown faster than India’s. At present the net profit of the Insurance industry is healthy and by 2016, the General Insurance Company’s premium will double to a minimum of Rs. 80 Crores.”
The inauguration of “UBERRIMA FIDES 2011” was followed by the spirited Extempore Speech Competition, Competition on Product Innovation and Business Quiz wherein the students performed with panache.
