Three day Annual Research Conference & Business Summit “INBUSH 2011” starts at Amity

Amity International Business School (AIBS) and Amity Global Business School (AGBS) kick started their three day 13th - Annual Research Conference & Business Summit “INBUSH 2011” from February 23- 25, 2011 on the theme "Leadership Challenges in Creating and Leading new Generation Innovative Organizations" at Amity University Campus, Sector 125, Noida.

Over 50 Ambassadors, 30 Vice Chancellors & Directors of premier Institutions, 34 Foreign Diplomats, 100 Corporate Heads, score of Media Personalities, top Academicians from India & Abroad and over 10,000 delegates are participating.

‘INBUSH 2011’ was inaugurated by Ms. Shahnaz Hussain, Chairperson and Managing Director, Shahnaz Group of Companies, Mr. Mahashay Dharampal, Chairman, MDH Group of Companies, Mr. Jayant Chaudhary, Member of Parliament, Member, Committee on Agriculture, Member Committee on Ethics, Government of India, Prof. Dinesh Singh, Vice Chancellor, University of Delhi and Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh, Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University& Director General, AIBS and AGBS.

Presenting the welcome address (Dr.) Gurinder Singh, Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University& Director General, AIBS and AGBS said “The purpose of ‘INBUSH 2011’ is to ignite a fire of determination in all the budding management leaders.” He added “Education is revolutionary and it is only through quality education that humanity can witness a positive change.”

Inaugurating the mega event Ms. Shahnaz Hussain, CEO, Shahnaz Group of Companies shared her story of success with the audience and said “It is extremely important for each one of us to have a dream and more important is to believe in the magic of those dreams.” She added “Each of us can live our aspirations, provided we prepare ourselves to traverse across all lengths and breaths regardless of the quagmires we may collide with in the course of pursuing them.”

Emphasizing on the benefits of Management Festivals Mr. Jayant Chaudhary, Member of Parliament, Member, Committee on Agriculture, Member Committee on Ethics, Government of India urged the students to understand the importance of stepping beyond the inscribed text in their study materials and reach out to link theory with practice. He stated “Educationists are the true social reformers and there is an immense need to reform the political system of India for which the Educationists will need to step forward to bring about ideal governance.” Mulling over the challenge of irreversibility of the legacy of systems, Mr. Chaudhary advised the students to pursue growth and success with untiring commitment and dedication, keeping alive the sense of responsibility towards the roots.

Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Group while delivering his key note address extended gratitude to the doyens of the industry, who despite their busy schedules added to the fervor of INBUSH by their benign presence. He opined that the youth of the country is privileged to have born in a country where the education provided to the students is enriched with rich values, ethos and culture, a tradition which cannot be copied or replicated by any University of the world be it Yales or Cambridge whereas the programmes offered by these great centers of learning can be easily copied by any University across the world. He called upon students and budding managers of Amity International Business School to make the most out of the deliberations and discussions by prolific speakers and leaders, that will unfold during the three days of “ INBUSH”

Expressing his delight to be a part of the Summit, Prof. Dinesh Singh- Vice Chancellor, University of Delhi citied the examples of the great leaders and freedom fighters including Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation and Shaheed Bhagat Singh, whom he regards as “Great Managers and Strategists”. Talking about Mahatma Gandhi, Prof. Singh said that Gandhiji, in his day to day life, practiced and taught the principles of management. Gandhiji realized that the real calling of his life was rigorous adherence to truth and honesty and he practiced the same throughout his life despite of being an enormously successful lawyer. Prof. Singh commended the way Gandhiji use to do time management to ensure he had enough time for everything in his life. Through the examples, Prof. Singh urged the students to pursue truth and honesty as a policy even if they don’t believe in it and identify the true calling of their lives, from which they should not deviate or waiver.

Also present during the inauguration were Mr. Anil Sharma, Chairman and Managing Director, Amrapali Group, Mr. Vsevolod Rozanov, President and CEO, Sistema Shyam TeleServices Ltd. (MTS), Mr. Sandeep kaliah, CEO, Valvoline Cumins Ltd and Prof. Cuddapah Ramanaiah, Vice Chancellor, Dravidian University.

The inauguration of the mega event - “INBUSH 2011” was followed by the enriching Plenary Session wherein distinguished corporate leaders and ambassadors including Mr. Sanjay Dalmia, Chairman, Dalmia Group of Companies, Mr. Tushar Jani, Founder Chairman, Blue Dart, Aviation Limited Mr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala, Executive Director, Wockhardt Limited, H.E. Mr. Giacomo Sanfelice di Monteforte, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Embassy of Italy, H.E, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Embassy of the Republic of Poland and Mr. Abdenor Brahmi, Financial Counsellor, Embassy of France and many others contributed their expert views on the topic “Recession & Debt Crisis” with reference to ‘The Challenges and strategies ahead with specific focus on European Countries’.

During the inaugural day of ‘INBUSH 2011’ various categories of ‘Amity Excellence Awards’ were conferred upon the eminent Academicians and Industrialists such as Ms. Mr. Mahashay Dharampal, Chairman, MDH Group of Companies (Amity Lifetime Excellence Award for being India’s Marketing Icon), Ms. Shahnaz Hussain, CEO, Shahnaz Group of Companies (Amity Women Achiever’s Excellence Award) Prof. C. Amuba Singh, Vice Chancellor, Manipur University (Amity Academic Excellence Award), Mr. Sanjay Dalmia, (Amity Excellence Award for promoting International trade between India and European Countries), Mr. Ashok Shankar, General Manager, Delhi, Indian Overseas Bank (Amity Corporate Excellence Award for Best Financial Services, Bank), Mr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala, Executive Director, Wockhardt Limited (Amity Corporate Excellence Award for Logistics Service with Highest Focus on Quality & Safety) and various others for their unparallel contributions in their respective fields. Also distinguished diplomats such as H.E Mr. Giacomo Sanfelice di Monteforte, H.E Prof. Piotr Klodkowshi and Mr. Abdenor Brahmi were honored with Gold medals.

Highlights of the day included ‘Inter College Business Quiz’ and ‘Inter College Business Debate’ wherein the cream institutions of the country such as IMT Ghaziabad, IIM Calcutta, Delhi School of Economics, Fore School of Management, IIM Kokikhode etc performed with panache.

Last but never the least, the Inaugural day of ‘INBUSH 2011’ concluded with a cultural evening by Padmashree ‘Penaz Masani’s, Concert which kept the audience captivated and engulfed to the hilt.
