Human Value Service in Action – An Initiative taken by students of B.Tech(E&T), AITTM
As a part of Human Values Quarter a team of 7 students of B.Tech (E&T)-IIIrd Year and a Faculty, Mr. Priyadarshi Suraj of Amity Institute of Telecom Technology and Management(AITTM), visited Ramakrishan Mission Orphanage in Sector 26, Noida on 17th February 2011.
The students of AITTM met 15 children of the Ashram who were of different age group and have a great desire to excel. The children were interviewed by the students as to which state they belong to, what is their aim in life etc. They were counseled by the young AITTM students as to how they can achieve their desired goals.
The students had conducted a no. of events like Interactive session, Quiz, Talent Show, Race etc. They gave refreshment and distributed Prizes from their pocket money. They collected a handsome amount on voluntary basis. This proved to be a motivational factor for the children of the orphanage and made a sense of belongingness in them.
After the visit to the Ramakrishan Mission Orphanage the students of AITTM shared that
“No other feeling in the world can be as good as the feeling we got seeing the smile on the face of the children.It was an experience of a life time, being able to spend such a quality time with all the children and we hope to get such an opportunity again and again.”
