Manchester United Soccer Schools (MUSS) organized an “Interactive Session” with Mr. Chris O’ Brien -Head Coach and his Indian affiliate, Mr. Vaibhav amongst hundreds of football players and football aficionados on March 25, 2013 at Amity Campus, Sector- 125, Noida.
The Coach was welcomed by Mr. Aseem Chauhan, Additional President –RBEF and Chancellor, Amity University Rajasthan
While addressing the students, Mr. Chris O’ Brien -Head Coach expressed his joy and exultation for addressing a vast gathering of enthusiastic football players and admirers. He said that whatever football team you support, Manchester United Soccer School is with you. India is a wonderful country and has tremendous opportunities in football. Talking about MUSS, the coach said that in Manchester United Soccer School, Manchester United environment is created; players are encouraged to play United way and learn to coach United way. He revealed that MUSS has full coaching programmes running in Abu Dhabi, China, Singapore and UK. MUSS believes in young people with winning mentality. While discussing the traits of a good coach, Chris said that vibrant personality, communication skill, technical knowledge, social knowledge are few qualities which makes a successful coach. Mr. Chris shared his dream to train and empower each and every interested player in India from the age group of 6-18 years to play football.
Mr. Aseem Chauhan, Additional President –RBEF and Chancellor, Amity University Rajasthan shared that Amity, in association with MUSS, is hosting for the first time in Delhi, 5 days coaching program-“Delhi Player Development Programme (DPDP)” from April 10-14, 2013 at Amity International School, Pushp Vihar which will cater to the players above 6+ years of age. He revealed that, during the programme, all players will get a golden opportunity to be trained and play like Manchester United players Mr. Chauhan apprised the gathering that Amity is already supporting two football clubs – Amity United Football Club and Indian National Football Club which are doing a great job in promoting football across the country and providing necessary fillip to the interesting football players in terms of requisite infrastructure and training by famous coaches.
Mr. Chris and Mr. Vaibhav conducted similar sessions at Amity International Schools located in Saket, Push Vihar, Mayur Vihar and Noida during the day and enlightened the school students with the upcoming Camp, its advantages and other details.
