Delegation from Institute of Agriculture of Lille, Lille Catholic University, France visits Amity Uniersity

Five member delegation from Institute of Agriculture of Lille, Lille Catholic University, France visited Amity University to mull over the potential areas of collaboration. The delegation was led by Mr. Vincent Bufquin - General Secretary of Group ISA and Head of Corporate Relations.

The eminent members that formed the part of the delegation included
Ms. Florence Malaise, Head, International Relations; Mr. Bernard Pourrut, Academic Head of M.Sc. Sustainable Pollution Management; Ms. Emmanuelle Martin, Academic, Head of M.Sc. Sustainable Food Manufacturing Management and Ms. Brijveen Sabharwal, India Representative, Lille Catholic University.

The delegation was received by Prof. (Dr.) A.K. Srivastava, Advisor - Research & Innovation; Dr. Manoj Kulshreshtha, Dean Faculty of Science, Engineering & Technology and Maj Gen R.K. Dhawan, Advisor – International Affairs Department, Amity.

Ms. Florence Malaise, Head, International Relations said that Lille Catholic University is situated in the city of Lille, France with 1,50,000 students. University has five departments – Agriculture, Food Sciences, Environment, Landscape and Management. Institute of Agriculture of Lille has 1200 students. Ms. Malaise said that goal of their institute is to train future managers in life sciences, to train students to work internationally and to prepare industry ready graduates. The Institute of Agriculture of Lille is running 2 international M.Sc programs in English medium, rest of the programs are only in French medium. Ms. Malaise said that their Institute is looking collaboration in programs on Environment and Food Sciences. They are also keen on student exchange, faculty mobility, program exchange and joint research.

Prof. (Dr.) A.K. Srivastava, Advisor - Research & Innovation stressed the areas in the field of biotechnology, food sciences, environment sciences etc in which collaboration can be planned. Joint PhD programs, student exchange, faculty exchange, joint projects, joint seminars, workshops etc can be identified for collaboration
