Delegation from SCA (Sydney College of the Arts), Australia visits Amity School of Fine Arts & Amity School of Fashion Technology

Professor Collin Rhodes, Dean, Sydney College of the Arts, Australia & Ms. Sonali Saigal, Business Development Manager, Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) visited Amity School of Fine Arts & Amity School of Fashion Technology on Monday the 26th November, 2012. During this visit the delegates interacted with Dr. Pradeep Joshi, Director, ASFT, ASFA & ASPA. The faculty members of ASFT & ASFA were also present including Mr. Shankar Sahay, International Coordinator (ASFT), Mr. Varun Sahai, International Coordinator (ASFA) & Mr. Swapan Bhandari, Assistant Professor, ASFA. SCA offers an exciting range of programs at undergraduate, masters and doctoral levels that provide a vibrant and conceptually coherent coverage of subjects relevant to international contemporary arts. The Faculty offers programs in ceramics, film and digital art, glass, jewellery and object, painting, photomedia, printmedia, and sculpture, performance and installation.

The interface between the esteemed members of the delegation and Dr. Pradeep Joshi, Director, ASFT, ASFA & ASPA elaborated on the areas of common interest and included topics like exploring international association for various programmes being offered by the schools, like MFA & Doctoral programmes; discussions on programme structures & course curriculum and possibilities of student exchange programmes. The delegates were then taken around and shown the various facilities of ASFA & ASFT, which were very much appreciated by Professor Collin Rhodes. The delegation members were all praise for the infrastructural facilities available at the campus as well as the hard work put in by the faculty members and the students of ASFA. The delegation departed with words of appreciation for ASFA/ ASFT team & Amity University.
