Amity Art Foundation has organized a Painting Exhibition titled “Seasons” by the renowned artist Mrs. Jyoti Nagpal from Nov. 16 to 21, 2012 at Azad Bhavan Art Gallery, I.P. Estate (Near ITO), Delhi. The painting exhibition is organized under the Horizon Series Program of Indian Council for Cultural Relations.
Dr. Suresh Kumar Goyal, Director General- Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Dr. Ashok Kumar Chauhan, Founder President- Amity University, Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, chairperson, Amity International School jointly inaugurated the exhibition with ceremonial lightning of the lamp. The Inauguration was followed by “Mohiniyattam” Dance Recital by Ms. Jayaprabha Menon.
Speaking about her work Jyoti Nagpal, a renowned artist called Art as a status symbol to the understanding of one’s untouched soul. This exhibition is all about exploring the different colors of the different seasons. “The paintings displayed here speak about different moods of seasons as well” remarked Ms. Jyoti.
The objective of this exhibition is to let people realize that understanding a painting is not a tedious task, it is true that some people devote their entire lives to study the minutest details of an artists’ work, but there’s no need to become an expert to have a meaningful relationship with art. All it takes is a moderate attention to detail, a little bit of patience, and a willingness to reflect on one’s own feelings. At “Seasons” exhibited paintings are grabbing everyone’s attention through its subject matter, use of lovely colors and an interesting juxtaposition of objects and its realistic appearance.
Inaugurating exhibition, Dr. Ashok Kumar Chauhan, Founder President, Amity said that Jyoti Nagpal is a fantastic artist who keeps on enlightening the important issues through her paintings. Her expression is canvassed beautifully and specially “For Seasons” paintings have been captured magnificently.
Mrs. Divya Chauhan, Chairperson- Amity School of Fine Arts and Amity School of Fashion Technology, Mrs. Pooja Chauhan, Vice Chairperson- Amity Humanity Foundation and Ms. Sapna Chauhan, Chairperson- Amiown was also present during the inaugural session of “Seasons”.
The Exhibition is on for public view till 21st Nov 2012 at Azad Bhawan, ITO, New Delhi.
