Amity International School Mayur Vihar organises Grand Parents Day
Tiny toddlers of class I at Amity, Mayur Vihar showcased their talent and enthusiasm to pay tribute to their grandparents by celebrating grandparents day on 3rd November, 2012. The Chairperson Amity Schools Dr.(Mrs) Amita Chauhan, a firm believer in the strength and values the grandparents give to their children, conceptualised the event. The show began with the lighting of the lamp followed by a heart warming speech by the principal Mrs. Sarita Aggarwal where she heartily thanked the grandparents who were always there with their blessings and support. The other highlights were a small skit ‘Kutumb ka Saath’ enacted by the children which undoubtedly bagged the appreciation of all present. The beautifully choreographed dance and the melodious song were the other attractions. The games for the grandparents was a treat to watch with a ‘passing the parcel’ and ‘balloon dance’.
Plants potted by the children were given as gifts to the grandparents. Chairperson of the Amity Schools, Dr.(Mrs) Amita Chauhan, thanked the grandparents for their limitless and selfless contribution in moulding the lives of their grandchildren.
