Amity Institute of Education organises Guest Lecture on "Empowering Teachers for Inclusive Education"
The insightful and enriching workshop on “Lesson planning for inclusive children” and guest lecture on “Empowering teachers for inclusive education” was organised by Amity Institute of Education on October 25,2012.
The guest speaker was Prof. (Dr.) K.C Vashishtha from Dayal Bagh Educational Institute Arga. Prof. (Dr.) Ranjana Bhatia, Principal Amity Institute of Education Saket, New Delhi, and Prof. (Dr.) A.K Uppal Senior Director ASPESS graced the occasion. The welcome address was given by Dr. Alka Muddgal Officiating Head of Amity Institute of Education AUUP.
Prof. (Dr.) K.C Vashishtha enlightened the entire faculty members and students of Amity Institute of Education on Inclusive classroom management. He left with a thoughtful note that inclusion is less about children with disabilities and more about removing exclusion in the education system. He emphasized on teachers having a wide vision and stated that one must go beyond the brain and feel it from the heart to get the special need children to the mainstream. In nutshell, he laid stress on developing right kind of attitude in the teachers and appreciating the diversity amongst the students.
