Amity University leads Retiring Soldiers to success in second career
It was indeed a proud moment to cherish both by Amity University, Noida, as well as retired Defence Personnel of the rank of Junior Commissioned Officers and Non Commissioned Officers (JCOs/NCOs) from Army and their equivalent ranks from Navy & Air Force, when the latter visited their Alma Mater first time after having undergone a resettlement course in Business Management at Amity Business School. They all were beaming with joy as they were happily employed and settled well in civil environment after shedding their uniforms. They all had a different success story to tell but in unison they just said “Thank you Amity”.
Life almost took a full circle for them when they were made to stand in front of a class of about fifty JCOs/NCOs and equivalents pursuing the ongoing “Certificate Course in Business Management” where they had once sat themselves. When they narrated their experiences, the entire class was all ears and eager to know about the situations they faced during crucial transition of their life from uniformed soldiers to corporate jobs. It was a live training for those who were yet to cross into civil street and their apprehensions were adequately answered by the stalwarts who had already walked the path.
They advised the students to pay full attention to what is being taught in the classes as such golden opportunity of receiving training at a University as prestigious as Amity and that too from the experts in the field of management may never come their way again. It was particularly mentioned as to how the special training being imparted by Amity University in the field of Personality Development and Employability Skils involving Resume Writing and Communication Skils proved extremely useful to them. Nearly all of them conveyed in no uncertain terms that possessing a certificate from Amity University helped them in a big way to garner good jobs much beyond their expectations and rank.
After having interacted with the visiting alumni, JCOs/NCOs and equivalents of the current course in Business Management due to terminate in January next year, have rededicated themselves to the cause of learning with a renewed vigour which was amply reflected in the standing ovation they gave to their predecessors.
