Amity Science, Technology and Innovation Foundation Signs MoU with Aryavarta Space Organization (ASO)
Amity Science,Technology and Innovation Foundation has signed a MoU with Aryavarta SpaceOrganization (ASO) in Amity Campus, Sector 125 for facilitating research andacademic collaboration in Aerospace domain between both the institutions.
The MoU was signed by Dr Rushi Ghadwala, President- International Affairs, Aryavarta SpaceOrganization and Mr. Babulal Arya,Registrar, Amity University Uttar Pradesh in the presence of Dr W Selvamurthy, President, AmityScience, Technology and Innovation Foundation; Dr. R C Deka, Advisor to FounderPresident, Dr. M S Prasad, Director, Amity Institute of Space Science &Technology; Dr. Sanjay Singh, Director, Amity Institute of AerospaceEngineering, Dr. Ajay Gupta, Director, Amity Centre of Spritonics; Dr.Madhulika Singh, Director, Amity Institute of Geo-Informatics and RemoteSensing and other dignitaries.
Addressing the gathering Dr. W Selvamurthy said that this collaboration intends to promote socialand academic development in the field of Space Science Applications andGeomatics, development and innovation. He expressed that Aryavarta SpaceOrganization has connectivity with various International Organizations such asNASA and Amity looks forward to harness these relations.
During the occasion, DrRushi Ghadwala said Amity University has been a supportive platform to manyyoung organizations. The main objective of Aryavarta is to conduct research onnovel ideas and implement them later on. He further added that this alliance aimsto jointly facilitate cooperation activities through the development andimplementation of research projects, capacity building programs, interchange ofexperiences and personnel in the fields of academics, research and development.
Dr. Rushi Ghadwal also visited Amity School ofEngineering & Technology (ASET), Amity Institute of Aerospace Engineering(AIAE), Amity Institute of Space Science & Technology (AISST), Centrallibrary and Amity Incubator. He was impressed with the infrastructure, labs andtechnology of the campus.
Aryavarta Space Organization is officially registered in India as aNon-Government Organization and Civil Society Organization at United Nations(NGO Branch), with an aim to carry out research in the space sector. Theactivities carried out at ASO include working towards projects, research andits dissemination in organizations and institutions involved in the industry inthe sectors of Aerospace Science & Technology, Aerospace Management &Policy Issues and Aerospace Medicine & Life Science. ASO, with itsinternational operations in UK and USA, also has permanent collaborationprograms with other space organizations in several countries around the world.
