Students of Amity University win 15 Medals at 35th U.P. State Shooting Championship
The bright students of Amity University once again proved their worth by participating in 35th U.P. State Shooting Championship at Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range Tughlakabad, New Delhi and winning 15 medals.
Over 16 students from Amity Shooting Club, under the guidance and training of Mrs. Kunti Malik- Director, ASC, participated in the Championship and competed against 950 other shooters from Uttar Pradesh.
INDIVIDUAL MEDALS
In .177 Air Pistol Men Category, Parth Chaudhary from Amity Institute of Information Technology won the Gold Medal, in Women’s Category, Anindita Singh from Amity School of Engineering and Technology won the Silver Medal.
In .22 Free Rifle 3 Position and 22 Free Rifle Prone, Mr. Deepak Kumar Dubey (Instructor) from Amity Shooting Club (ASC) won the Gold Medal and Silver Medal respectively. In .177 Air Rifle Men, Mr. Deepak Kumar Dubey won Silver Medal.
TEAM MEDALS
In .177 Air Rifle Men Team, the team of Deepak Kumar Dubey from ASC, Naman Srivastava from Amity International Business School, Karthik K.G from Amity Institute of Biotechnology won three Silver Medals.
In .177 Air Rifle Women (Sr.), the team of Anindita Singh from Amity School of Engineering and Technology, Tanisha J.M. from Amity Law School, Noida and Apoorva Katiyar from AIESR won three Silver Medals.
.177 Air Pistol Men (Sr.), the team of Hari Darshan from Amity School of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Geet Arora from Amity School of Business and Nitin Bansal- ASC member won three Silver medals.
All the winners are qualified to participate in upcoming 32th North Zone Shooting Championship Competition and All India G.V.Mavlankar Shooting Competition which will be held in Delhi from Oct 09 to14 and November 03 to 10, 2012 respectively.
