Padamshree Hema Malini raises concern over the growing menace of female feticide in the country during Annual Day Celebrations of Amitasha

It was a dream come true for hundreds of underprivileged girl children who were thrilled and mesmerized to meet and interact with Padmashree Hema Malini – the famous Actor and Ex- Member of Parliament during the Annual Day Celebrations of Amitasha- a school for underprivileged girls at Amity Campus, Sector-125, Noida.

Welcoming the august gathering, Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan- Chairperson, Amity International Schools and Amitasha Schools said, “ it’s a very historic day for the girls of Amitasha and for all those who are associated with Amitasha to perform in front of such a vast and distinguished gathering. The day will go a long way in motivating and encouraging the girls of Amitasha.” She further expressed her gratitude to the parents of Amitasha girls who have sent their girls to study in Amitasha schools and providing them an opportunity to bring laurels to the country. Dr. (Mrs.) Chauhan thanked Ms. Hema Malini for her motivational presence and said that her presence will inspire the underprivileged girl children to dream big and work hard to achieve their dreams.

Sharing her views with the gathering, the Chief Guest, Ms. Hema Malini congratulated Amity family for supporting such a noble cause of educating less privileged girl children. Addressing the Amitasha students, she called them really fortunate to have received the opportunity of studying, fulfilling their dreams and thereby, becoming good human beings. Ms. Hema Malini, further, expressed her concern over the growing rate of female feticide in the country, the preference of male child leading to the unaccounted female feticides in the country. She thanked all the Amitasha parents for letting their daughters take birth, see the beautiful world and providing them an opportunity to educate themselves. She urged Amitasha students to participate in all the activities in the school, explore their real interest and show to the entire world that they are no less than boys.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Ashok Chauhan- Founder President, Amity Universe congratulated all the Amitasha parents for taking the right decision of sending their daughters to Amitasha and securing their future. He expressed his happiness and joy on seeing the Amitasha students brimming with remarkable confidence and determined about their future paths. Dr. Chauhan announced that within next three years, Amitasha will have over 2, 500 students from 1, 000 students at present and promised Ms. Hema Malini that very soon Amity Group will establish “ Amitasha” schools all over India and abroad for societal welfare.

Students from Amitasha sung a melodious song “ Mann Me He Vishwas Ki Aage Badna He” which was widely appreciated by one and all.

The exceptional achievers from Amitasha School were felicitated by Ms. Hema Malini along with Dr. Ashok Chauhan and Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan.

The empathizers of the cause- Sponsors, Amity students who parted with their valuable scholarships for Amitasha students and Academia of the University who have been raising funds for the cause were felicitated by Dr. Ashok Chauhan and Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan for their invaluable support.

Over 247 students from Amitasha schools located in Noida, Saket and Gurgaon Sector 43 and 46 showcased their talent during the 45 minute performance on the theme “JHANSI KI RANI”, which was an aesthetic combination of music, dance and drama.
