Scholarships to Italy for B.Tech. Machenical & Automation Engineering Students of Amity School of Engineering & Technology

Italian Trade Commission (ITC) along with Association of Italian Manufacturers of Machine Tools, Robots, Automation Systems and Ancillary Products (UCIMU) organised a Paper Competition at international level on the ‘Technological Innovation in the Metalworking Industries’ for the third year students pursuing B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering of Amity School of Engineering & Technology.
The selected students have been sponsored for a two weeks trip to Italy from 13-28 March 2010 wherein in the first week, they will be visiting renowned factories like Agusta Westland Helicopter factory, Machine Tools factories viz., PAMA, COMAU, etc., and in the second week they will be attending a course on various aspects of technological innovations at the famed Politecnic Di Milano.
Amity School of Engineering & Technology is proud to announce that out of 32 papers received from the students pursuing B.Tech. Machenical & Automation Engineering Programme from ASET, 10 students have been selected based on their papers & interviews and have been awarded scholarships to undergo the 2 weeks’ programme in Italy. Asst.Prof. Gaurav Gupta, MAE Deptt., ASET is also sponsored by ITC for this unique Academic Industry Scholarship Programme. The award includes all travel expenses from India to Italy, local travel, hotel stay & food, teaching material etc.
The Programme envisaged will expose the students & the accompanying faculty to the latest developments in mechanical tools, automation & technological practices in various industrial organizations. The lectures by leading experts in the field at Milan will expand their knowledge base in innovation driven by design, marketing etc.
