Amity Business School, Manesar held its Corporate Meet “Parichay-2010”

Amity Business School, Manesar in association with Gurgaon Industrial Association (GIA), Gurgaon Management Association (GMA), NCR Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NCCI), Haryana State Productivity Council (HSPC), Gurgaon, IMT Industrial Association, Manesar organized The Corporate Meet “Parichay-2010” at The Palms – Town & Country Club, Sushant Lok – I, Gurgaon

The discussions and deliberations of the Corporate Meet were focused on the theme, “New Management Dimensions: Issues and Challenges for Organizational Success.” The Corporate meet is a high profile annual event of Amity Business School. Eminent personalities from various management fields both Corporate and Academia’s views and ideas were pooled for mutual advantage and developing close relationship. It provided a forum for addressing some of the critical issues concerned with various processes and systems. It captured various changes that are taking place in the entire realm of corporate strategies in the wake of the change in the business conditions which help to make an environment of resilience to accommodate and assimilate the changes.

“Parichay-2010” was inaugurated by eminent guests from Ministry and Corporate such as Mr. Jagdish Tytler, Former Union Minister and current General Secretary, All India Congress Committee, Mr. P. Dwarkanath, Director, Group Human Capital, Max India, Ms. Christine Mukherjee, Director, Austrain Embassy, Mr. Vijay Agarwal, Director, Finance, Coca Cola India and Mr. Sumit K Lal, Business & Strategy Adviser, ECCO Asia Pacific Ltd, Director, ECCO India Trading Pvt Ltd.

Mr. Jagdish Tytler, Former Union Minister and General Secretary, All India Congress Committee said that today the growth and improvement in India is tremendously happening. Our country is at the initial stages of the development was not financially sound. We have to seek the assistance of foreign investments, though we had good brains but was lacking in initiatives. Mr. Tytler asserted that by 2020, India will be one of the intellectual country in the world. In the aspect of software no one can beat India. It is expected that by 2020 educated youth would have better genes to take the country in the path of progress. Mr. Tytler motivated the students by saying that hardwork and honesty pays but one has to have the vision and mission in life.

Mr. P. Dwarkanath, Director, Group Human Capital, Max India said that students of Amity Business School are fortunate to be a part of this globally recognized University. World is flat and the globe is a village so one has to develop its mindset accordingly. If one wants to succeed in any arena, one needs to have a global mindset and can not ignore any thing that is happening outside the country. One should take it as a wake up call and turn it into an opportunity. Mr. Dwarkanath said that we need to master of the changes and to make the transformation a big success story.

Ms. Christine Mukherjee, Director, Austrian Embassy while speaking on the future prospect of tourism in India and abroad said that tourism in general and medical tourism in particular has the greatest scope. India is one of the greatest destinations in the world. Indians have the best brains but we need to work in an innovative way to utilize these factors to the fullest. The population of Austria is half the population of Delhi, inspite of it the income from tourism in Austria is one of the highest in the world. The main focus should be on brand management, she added.

Dr. R.C. Sharma, Professor and Advisor, Amity Business School, Manesar said that India is a big nation and the world is looking at India with a great hope especially in the field of information technology, tourism and service sector. Dr. Sharma said that people come from abroad to learn our culture of universal brotherhood and Guest is consider to be next to God Atithi devo bhava and carry it to the other parts of the globe. Dr. Sharma asserted that inspite of global recession, our country’s position was much better than most of developed countries.

Bedi, Professor, IMSAR, MD University, Rohtak, Mr. AS Sharma, CEO, Juris, HR and Mr HP Gupta, DGM, Finance, Hero Honda Motors discussed on the topic “New Mnagement Dimensions: Issues & Challenges for Organisational Success.” On this occasion, Corporate meet Souvenir was also released.
