One Week Compulsory Training Course for Indian Forest Service Officers on Development of Afforestation/Reforestation clean development mechanism project with special reference to baseline data collection for forest officers begins at Amity School of Natural Resources and Sustainable Development.
Dr. P.J. Dilip Kumar, IFS, Director General (F), MoEF, New Delhi, Mr. Jagdish Kishwan, Additional Director General (Wildlife), Minsitry of Environment and Forest, New Delhi, Maj Gen K.Jai Singh, Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Prof. B.K.P. Sinha, Director, ASNR&SD inaugurated the the training programme on November 08, 2010.
Dr. P.J. Dilip Kumar, IFS, Director General (F), MoEF, New Delhi released the Study Material of the Training Course.
During the first day, technical sessions were also organised. In first technical session, Mr. Jagdish Kishwan, Additional Director General (Wildlife), Minsitry of Environment and Forest, New Delhi presented his views on "Kyoto Protocol and Future of Forestry Projects in Post Kyoto Scenario". During second technical session, Mr. Abhirup Singh, Emergent Ventures India Pvt. Ltd., Gurgaon talked on Essentials of Forestry CDM and Carbon Market opportunities for Rural Communities.
