Mr. Nitish Vij, Managing Consultant, IBM delivers lecture at Amity School of Engineering & Technology
Amity School of Engineering & Technology organised an Expert talk on "Business Analytics: Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence" on October 28, 2010 in I-2 Block Moot Court at Amity University Campus, Sec-125, Noida.
Mr. Nitish Vij, Managing Consultant, IBM who has more than 10 years of rich experience in many reputed organizations was invited to address the students on the concept of "Business Analytics: Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence", its implication & significance in the industry.
Prof. P .K. Rohtagi, HOD, CRC along with their team members, Prof. Abhay Bansal, HOD, IT, ASET with the faculty members and final year students of B.Tech. IT were present during the event.
Students were informed that the actionable information is the key ingredients in the Business Intelligence and Analytics Systems. Various types of other valuable information were given on data explosion, need of Return On Investments (ROI) , Intelligent Enterprise, etc.
Mr. Nitish Vij enlightened the gathering on the challenges and the significant IT areas that act as hurdles and keys respectively in the growth of the businesses.
Finally he summarized the session by informing that businesses have transformed from a corrective action to a directive action. He also emphasized that decisions taken should be based on information rather than intuitions.
