Guest lecture at Amity Law School by eminent lawyer and Professor of Subharti University, Meerut, Mr.Shams Khwaja
Mr.Shams Khwaja, Advocate and Professor of Law, Subharti University, Meerut delivered lectures on September 7th , 2010 to 3rd Semester students of B.A.LL.B.(Honours) of Amity Law School.
He gave an introduction of Indian Penal Code ( I.P.C.) to the students. He discussed in detail the basic principles of Criminal Law and also focussed on the methodology of studying it. He spoke on extent and operation of the IPC, definition of crime,fundamental elements of crime and different stages in commission of a crime. Intention, prepration and attempt to crime was also discussed.
Mr.Khwaja also explained to the students - the title and the operation of IPC, punishment of offences commited within India and punishment of offences commited beyond India, but which by Law may be tried within India. With the help of examples Mr. Khwaja also explained Mensrea, that is the mental element of the crime to the students.
