Ms. Savita Mehta- Vice President, Communications, Amity Group honored with “18th National Award for the Best Media Relations Practitioner of the Year” by Journalists Association of India (JAI)

Ms. Savita Mehta- Vice President, Communications, Amity Group has been conferred with the“ 18th National Award for the Best Media Relations Practitioner (Female) of the year” by Journalists Association of India (JAI) to acknowledge her unparallel contribution in the field of Public Relations for more than 15 years, during a glittering ceremony held on September 02, 2010 at The Ashok Hotel, Chankya Puri, New Delhi.

Ms. Savita Mehta has worked with several organizations of repute including Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), New Delhi, and has spearheaded strategic projects in the field of public relations. A stern believer of “whatever you do, do the Best, Ms. Mehta has carved a much sought after niche for herself in the industry.

Hon’ble Oscar Fernandes, MP, Chief Guest for the occasion honored the proud awardees with glistening trophies.

Ms. Satya Bahin-Former MP and Member, National Commission - SC and Mr. Pradeep Jain Aditya- Minister of Rural Development (MOS) were the Guests of Honor during the ceremony.

The awards conferred in 50 categories aimed to felicitate the professionals from different walks of life. The awards categories included Best Chief Minister of India, Best Doctor, Best Social Activist, Best Banker, Best Advocate, Best Pop Singer (Female), Best Director, Best Art Director, Best Film, Best Experimental Film and Best Journalists (Print and Electronic).

Mr. Rajiv Chandran, Information Officer India & Nepal (United Nation) was conferred “Best Information Officer Award”, Dr. Beni Prasad Aggarwal-Former Ambassador of India was conferred “Best Personality (International Affairs) Award, Mr. K.S. Wahi (IAS), Advisor finance Committee, Delhi was conferred “Best Officer of the Year Award” and Adv M.N. Krishnamurti, Former President, Supreme Court Bar Association was conferred “Best Advocate of the Year Award”.

Shera, the Mascot of Common Wealth Games, Delhi was also present during the occasion, cheering up the award recipients.

JAI is a non-profit organization working for the welfare of down trodden, slum dwellers, journalists, freedom of press and social, development and environmental issues including HIV/ AIDS, cancer, global warming, environment, education for all for the last 18 years. Eminent publishers, correspondents, reporters, freelance writers, public relations professionals, photographers and other persons/individuals/organization serving in the field of media sector are members of JAI.
