High level delegation from Peru visits Amity University, Noida
Mr. Edward Roekaert, President Universidad San Ignacio de Loyala and Vice President of WTC Peru and Mrs Carla Olivieri, International Manager and Director de San Ignacio College two members of the team visited Amity University on September 13, 2010.
The aim of discussions was to discuss various avenues of collaboration. The Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola has the following Institutions School of Business:
(a) School of Hospitality, Tourism and Gastronomy
(b) School of Engineering and Architecture
(c) School of Humanities
(d) Post graduate School in Executive
MBA, M Sc in Management and several International Programs in collaboration with Institutions in Canada, France and Spain.
Mr. Edward Roekaert, President University San Ignacio de Loyala said that they are interested in student and faculty exchange programmes. Business studies, Economics, Law, Environment Management, Entrepreneurial Management, International Business, Hospitality Management, Restaurant Management, Culinary Arts, Mass Communication, Graphics Design are some of the areas they would like to collaborate in with the best universities of the world. It should benefit both the countries through a mutual accord and understanding. He said that their universities give more stress to bi-lingual education although Spanish is the national language. He expressed that the aim of nation building and motivating the students to think like an entrepreneur are some of the commonalities in both the universities.
Mrs Carla Olivieri, International Manager and Director de San Ignacio College applauded the education policies practiced in India and expressed her gratitude for giving the delegation an opportunity to discuss certain significant academic policies of both the universities.
Dr. B. Shukla, Pro-VC, Academics, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Maj. Gen. R.K. Dhawan, Senior, VP, Amity International Affairs Division and other departmental heads were also present during the occasion.
