Delegation from Swinburne University of Technology (SUT), Melbourne visits Amity University

A delegation from Swinburne University of Technology (SUT), Melbourne led by Mr. Jeffery Smart, Pro VC (International) visited Amity University. Mr. Jeffery was accompanied by Professor Bruce Calway, Associate Dean Research, Faculty of Higher Education, Lilydale, Ms. Tanya Loh, Associate Director, International Partnerships and Mr. Pankaj Arora, Regional Team Leader, South Asia, Middle East and Africa.

Dr. B Shukla- Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academics), Amity University and Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh- Pro- Vice Chancellor (International), Amity University welcomed the delegation.

Mr. Jeffery Smart identified several potential areas of collaboration in the field of Science and Technology, ICT, Design and Business, Photonics, Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, IT and Telecom. He offered multi- faceted partnership options with Amity University in the areas such as Research collaboration with faculty, Educational pathways for students where Double Degree Programmes, Joint Graduation Programmes and Global Leadership Programmes can be offered to the students of both the Universities and Staff and Student Development Programmes in the form of scholarships. Talking about Swinburne University, Mr. Jeffery shared that SUT, which is ranked as the best institution in Melbourne, provides vocational skils programmes to the students. Mr. Smart apprised the gathering with the specific research areas of SUT including Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, Drug development and manufacturing and IT.

Responding to his interest, Dr. Gurinder Singh outlined three areas of potential collaboration in the form of 3 Continent MBA wherein students of SUT can pursue Dual Degree Programmes at Amity University, Internship to students for Entrepreneurship programmes and Dissertation Project Exchange and hosting of joint research conferences.

The interactive session was attended by the senior academicians and scientists from Amity University.
