Ms. Niti Dhingra, Asst. Professor, Long Island University, Brookeland delivers lecture at Amity University
AIPS and AIBHAS, Noida organised a Guest lecture by Ms. Niti Dhingra, Asst. Professor, Long Island University, Brookeland, New York City. The lecture was attended by the faculty members and students of M.phil (Clinical Psychology and Child & Adolescent Psychology), MA and BA (Applied Psychology) IIIrd year of AIPS and AIBHAS on 26th August, 2010 on the topic “Psychodynamic Psychotherapy in Action”.
Ms. Dhingra oriented the students about the functioning of psychological service centre in Long Island University, Brookeland and also discussed about the practical application of the Psychodynamic approach in counselling. She explained the concepts of transference, counter transference and resistance with the help of a live case that she had been working on. The lecture gave an insight and exposure to the students to the cross cultural perspective on psychoanalysis. The session ended with interaction with the speaker.
