Maj. Gen. Vinod Saighal (Retd.) delivers lecture during Lecture Series of Amity International Centre
Maj. Gen. Vinod Saighal (Retd.) delivered lecture on the topic "Afghanistan: What Happens Next" during Lecture Series of Amity International Centre on August 06, 2010 at F-3 Block Seminar Hall. This was 129th Lecture of AIC lecture series.
Maj. Gen. Vinod Saighal (Retd.) is Defence Analyst & Author. Currently working as Executive Director of Eco Monitors Society, an NGO concerned with demography and ecology. During the occasion Maj. Gen. Saighal briefed the audience about the present scenario in Afghanistan and pre taliban period. Maj. Gen. Saighal said that end of the taliban empire was good for whole world especially India and our countrty has a huge role in redevlopment of Afghanistan. Maj. Gen Saighal also discussed the scenario of Afghanistan when the Allied Forces will left Afghanistan. There will be two important aspect for India to observe, first that Taliban should not resurface in Afghanistan and the Afghanistan should not become the puppet of Pakistan or its supported extremists.
