Amity School of Engineering & Technology launches Student chapter of IET (UK)
It was a historical day for Amity School of Engineering & Technology when Student chapter of IET (UK) was launched at ASET on August 05, 2010 by Prof. Oliver Hinton, Pro Vice Chancellor, University of Newcasle, Chair of Academic Accreditation Committee.
Mr. Tushar Chaudhary, Business Development Manager, Professional Registration, IET India, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Universities, Maj. Gen. K Jai Singh Vice Chancellor AUUP, Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Pro Vice Chancellor Academics & Director General, Amity School of Engineering & Technology, Dr. Gurinder Singh, Pro Vice Chancellor (I) & Director General, Amity International Business School were present during the occasion.
While addressing the gathering, Prof. Oliver Hinton, Pro Vice Chancellor, University of Newcasle, Chair of Academic Accreditation Committee said that he is pleased that Amity University is providing world class education and has state of the art infrastructure. On this occasion Prof. Oliver Hinton deliverd a lecture on the topic "Wireless Technologies for Underwater Communication and Control".Prof. Hinton said that engineers have a great responsibility towards mankind. If a doctor sniff the life of one person on operation theatre than one engineer can endanger life of hundreds by making faulty bridges. Prof. Hinton said that present students are future engineer of the technology of this world.
Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Universities said that it is a proud moment for Amity that Student chapter of IET (UK)has been establish at Amity School of Engineering & Technology. Dr. Chauhan said that the student chapter will enable students of ASET to become Fellow, Member of IET (UK). On this occasion Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan anounced the opening of Amity Institute of Planning & Infrastructure.
