Project Driven Faculty Enablement Program by Infosys Technologies at Amity University
A team of Infosys Technologies from Chandigarh and Bangalore visited Amity University Noida and conducted a five day Project Driven Faculty Enablement Program from 21st July 2010 to 25th July 2010, especially for the Faculties of Amity. Infosys Technologies made an educational infrastructure to facilitate their fresh workforce to attain global benchmarks. They have a vibrant mix of trainers specialized in computer science and experienced in industry practices, which enable the fresh recruits to be “industry ready”. This program meant to share this experience and learning methodology with our faculty members to enable them to roll out Infosys Foundation Program (Program provides a unique set of teaching aids, consolidated training material to the college faculty to help them make students Industry-Ready) with greater effectiveness and rigor.

During these 5 days the faculties from Amity were exposed to significance and usage of technology tools in industry, practical approach towards solving business problems with the help of case studies and brainstorming sessions. All faculties attended the program with great enthusiasm and learning attitude. Moreover, delegates from Infosys got highly impressed with the infrastructure and the level of involvement of our faculties.
The Rationale of program was to cover a given set of modules (Infosys Foundation Program) in greater depth by exclusively emphasizing on following modules:
Tools Exposure - Significance and usage of tools in industry
Integrated Project - Developing applications by applying concepts which cut across modules
Case Studies -Practical approach towards solving business problems
Practitioner Sessions - Real time scenario from projects, challenges faced and solutions adopted
Brainstorming Sessions - Applying collective knowledge towards finding solution
