The students have come to India for six weeks to learn Hindi Language. As per Amity tradition the guests first joined the Havan ceremony and then a short cultural programme commenced with the lighting of the traditional lamp amidst the chanting of soul- soothing ‘ gayatri’ mantra. It was followed by tridhara a confluence of three streams, vocal, instrumental and classical dance which left the delegates spell bound. They were greeted with fragrant garlands and tilak and after a brief talk on Indo- US relationship, the principal Mrs. Sarita Aggarwal welcomed the students to Amity and encouraged them to learn Hindi with a focused mind and enthusiasm. Towards the conclusion of the programme, the US students introduce themselves on what ever hindi words they had picked up.
