AITTM held Concluding Ceremony for B.Tech (Electronics & Telecommunications) 2006-10 Batch.
It was a proud moment for Lt. Gen P D Bhargava - Director General, AITTM, Col. R K Kapur - HOD B.Tech (Electronics & Telecommunications) and members of the faculty as they saw the B.Tech (Electronics & Telecommunications) 2006 - 10 Batch students embark upon a new phase in their professional life. The Batch of 2006 - 10 had its Concluding Ceremony, marking a formal end to the B.Tech program for the batch, a relationship that had started four years ago but would continue for times to come.
The function was presided over by Maj. Gen. K Jai Singh, Vice Chancellor - AUUP and had Mr. Johan Lindgren, CFO - Uninor as the Chief Guest.The ceremony started with a welcome address by Lt. Gen P D Bhargava who spoke about the importance of core human values of love and humility,importance of having the right attitude, developing competence and never being complacent about one self. He wished the students all the best.
The address was followed by a brief address by Maj. Gen. K Jai Singh who shared his thoughts with the students about the professional life they were about to enter and how being self-motivated was the hallmark of a successful professional. Mr. Johan Lindgren expressed his best wishes to the students for all their future endeavors. He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards Amity University and AITTM in specific for designing a special one-year internship program for his son, Carl Lindgren at AITTM. The program was designed by combining subjects from MBA Telecom Management and B.Tech (Electronics & Telecommunications) and would carry credits for Carl’s Integrated Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering from Linköping University, Sweden. He shared that he was extremely impressed by the phenomenal growth achieved by Amity University in a short span of 16 years, which was comparable to what many European Universities had achieved over decades. He strongly felt that more European and International students would like to join Amity given the wide variety of courses and the high quality of education being offered.
This was followed by the award of Certificates of Merit to the meritorious students. Following were the winners of the Certificates.
• Best in Summer Internship Project – Shwetank Singh
• Best Technical Project – Received by 4 Students Ashutosh Omar, Manish Tayal, Chetan Bhawsar and Abhimanyu Sirothia.
Carl Lindgren also received Certificate of Merit for his excellent Technical Project during the course of his One-Year Internship at AITTM
• Highest CGPA upto 7th semester –
o Highest CGPA- Gaurav Aggarwal
o Second Highest CGPA – Abhimanyu Sirothia
o Third Highest CGPA- Sharandeep Singh Baluja
Next, Non-Academic Awards were given to the deserving students. Following were the winners in this category
• Best performance in Academic Committee – Manish Tayal And Chetan Bhawsar
• Best in Heritage and Tradition – Sonam Maheshwari and Supriya Pachani
• Organizing Sports Activities – Lokendra Pratap Singh Solanki, Saurabh Srivastava and Supriya Pachani
• Organizing Institutional events – Piyush Ranjan Jha and Gaurav Mohta
• Organizing Technical Events – Ashutosh Omar
• Acumenship in Industrial Interaction – Gaurav Mohta
The prestigious Shri Baljit Shastri Award for Best Human and Traditional Values was conferred upon Abhimanyu Sirothia for his all round contribution over the past four years.Shewtank Singh received the award for Best in Leadership Qualities. Award for Best in Interpersonal Sklls and Team Spirit was received by Raghav Kochhar. AITTM also felicitated Carl Lindgren for his academic excellence, interpersonal relationship with fellow students & faculty and conduct during his one-year internship.
This was followed by students sharing their experiences about the memorable four years they had spent at AITTM. Abhimanyu Sirothia spoke on behalf of the B.Tech 2006-10 Batch and thanked each and every member of the AITTM fraternity for their tireless efforts and help. Carl Lindgren also shared his experiences at AITTM and spoke of how the systematic course and education system had given him a new perspective about learning.
Proud parents of the graduating students also shared the dais and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the institute. Mr. S Surendranath, father of AITTM student S Srinivas said that it was an important day in his life as today he was being addressed as ‘Srinivas’s Father’, the dream of every parent. Maj. Gen. S P Kochhar, father of Raghav Kochhar, shared how AITTM had groomed his son from a naïve boy to a responsible man, capable of taking decisions independently.
At the end, Lt. Gen P D Bhargava again wished the graduating student success in their professional and personal life and reminded them that AITTM would be there for them, whenever they needed guidance and help of any sort.
