Delegation from UK India Business Council(UKIBC) Visits Amity University

A Delegation of UK India Business Council (UKIBC) comprising of 11members visited Amity University, Noida for exploring Knowledge Partnership options between the two organizations.

The delegation included Ms. Rosy Banwait, International Manager,Burton & South Derbyshire College (BSDC), Ms Dawn Ward, Principal and CEO& Deputy Chair, AOC India, Burton & South Derbyshire College (BSDC),Ms. Hazel Foster, Regional Director, Asia, Highbury College; Ms. Elaine Rees,Head of International Business ,Coleg Y Cymoedd , Mr. John Collick CEO,Promethean World, Mr. Steve Makowski, MD, Construction Gateway , Mr. AmitSinha, Head - India Country Operations, Association of Colleges (AoC) and Ms. RajniSachdeva, Sector Advisor - Skills & Education ,UKIBC

The major focus areas of thedelegation included Skill based Programmes, International certificationprogrammes and Common framework for vocational skills & higher education.

The officials from UKIBC andAmity discussed about the potential mutualcollaborative options in the areas of Enterprise/LeadershipManagement, Healthcare, Hospitality, Construction, Finance, Energy,Environmental Technology, STEM, Retail, Media, Journalism and Arts.  

Association of Colleges in India (AoC) is a partnership of 33UK-based Further Education Colleges established through the Association of colleges (AoC), UK. AoC represents UK’s FE College sector and its three million earners. AoC was established in 1996 by UK Colleges as a voice for further education and higher education delivered in Colleges in the UK.

UK Colleges provide a rich mix of academic and vocational education with the freedom to innovate and respond flexibly to the needs of individuals, business and communities. AoC India’s objective is to promote the transfer of relevant know-how in vocational education and training, foster private and government sector initiatives in vocational education and training.
