Twelve Week course on Management of Academic Institutions for Officers of Armed Forces begin at Amity University
The inaugural function of DGR Sponsored Twelve week certificate course in Management of Academic Institutions for officers of Armed Forces was successfully conducted on of April 23, 2014. The course is scheduled for 12 weeks duration for officers from Army, Navy and Air Force.
Maj Gen K Jai Singh, Group Vice Chancellor, Amity Universities, Maj. Gen. Subash Bindra, Senior Director, Amity Institute of Education and Training, Dr. Ranjana Bhatia, Mentor- AIE and Dr. Alka Muddgal, Offg Head, Amity Institute of Education inaugurated the event.
Cmde Gangesh Kumar and Gp Capt Rajeev Sharma, from DGR extended a warm welcome to the participants and dignitaries on the dais.
While delivering the welcome speech, Maj. Gen. Subash Bindra, Senior Director, Amity Institute of Education and Training congratulated Dr. Ranjana Bhatia, Mentor, AIE and Dr. Alka Muddgal, Offg Head, Amity Institute of Education on successfully initiating the certificate course in management of academic institutions. He assured the participants of a rich experience at Amity University during the course because of the excellent infrastructure, support system, past experience and expertise available with Amity Institute of Education in organizing a course of this nature.
Maj Gen K Jai Singh , Group Vice Chancellor, Amity Universities began his address by raising concern on ‘education’ sector being one of the most neglected fields in our country where much lip service is rendered with no concrete and constructive implementation of ideas. He informed the participants of the fact that Amity University is the only university in India which boasts of providing world class education to its students. He further added that degrees obtained from Amity University are recognized world over. He also highlighted the fact that no other organization in the world can match the momentum with which Amity University is expanding in length and breadth.
Dr. Alka Muddgal, Offg. Head, Amity Institute of Education , provided the gathering with a broad outline of the course content – its objectives , nature and scope for the participants.
Dr. Ranjana Bhatia, Principal, Amity Institute of Education, Saket, New Delhi and Mentor Amity Institute of Education, AUUP congratulated the officers for selecting the field of education as their second career.
