Physical Education Card Training at Amity Institute of Education, Noida

Amity Institute of Education, Amity University organized a workshop on "Physical Education Card (PEC)" for the students of B.Ed, B.ElEd and DETT programmes. The workshop comprised of Practical well as Theoretical session.
During the practical session, the pupil teachers were given practical demonstrations at Amity International School(AIS),Sector 44, Noida for meaningful implementation of PEC Cards in schools.
During the second session, Col. B.S Ahluwalia (retd.) Sr. Consultant Sports at AIS Noida apprised the budding teachers with the concept of PEC, its importance and advantages.
He shared that PEC are first focused and structured approach for delivering Physical Education in primary classes. They are being viewed as a competent tool for providing inclusive and interesting experiences to the children at primary school level, engaging them intensively in games and activities focused particularly on agility, balance, coordination,speed and strength. He averred that PEC are not elite venture limited to private schools, they could work at grass root with schools of any size. It is a great innovative method of learning and teaching, which needs to be adopted by schools all over.
Prof.(Dr.) Ranjana Bhatia -Mentor, AIE and Dr. Alka Muddgal, Officiating HOI , AIE were present during the session.
