Delegation from University of Illinois, USA visits Amity University
A high level four member delegation from University of Illinois, USA visited Amity University to discuss potential areas of mutual cooperation between University of Illinois and Amity University, Uttar Pradesh.
Delegation lead by Prof. Robert Hauser, Dean College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES), comprised of Prof. E Louise Rogers, ACES, Dr. A.W Nelson and Prof. Prasanta K. Kalita, Professor and Leader, Soil & Water Resources Engineering,
The delegation was welcomed by Dr. Gurinder Singh, Amity Group Addl. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sunil Saran, Sr. Vice Chairman – ASTIF, Dr. Ajit Varma, Distinguished Scientist & Professor of Eminence, AIMT, Amb. R M Aggarwal, Addl. DG, ACICA and Wg. Cdr SK Goel, VP-RBEF & Dy Dir- IAD
Various potential areas of mutual cooperation were discussed during the discussions between the delegation members and Amity Officials including collaboration in the area of Agriculture, Animal Sciences, Natural Resources, facilitating research interests by guiding research scholars & doctoral students of both universities.
Prof. Robert Hauser said that the delegation is impressed with the infrastructure and with the linkages of Amity with international universities. Prof. Hauser informed that their College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences is actively involved in Agriculture education, agriculture extension, crop science, animal science, water management. Prof. Hauser proposed to hold a joint seminar on water management and food technology.
The delegation was taken around the Campus and shown state of the art Amity Innovation Incubator, Amity Online Education, Laboratories, well stacked Central Library and other infrastructure.
