Amity University Conducts Graduation Ceremony Of Summer School Batch 2014
Amity University conducted the Concluding Ceremony to mark the end of itstwo week long “8th Summer School Program” at Amity Campus,Sector-125, Noida.
Over 200 students from class IX toXII and XII passout various schools across India and abroad participated in theSummer School and learnt thoroughly about their preferred programme from a widearray of courses such as Management, Science & Technology, MassCommunication, Fine Arts, Fashion, Interior Design, Law, Tourism, Hospitality,Foreign Language and Physical Education.
The objective of the Summer Schoolwas to help students identify their real interest in a particular stream ofeducation and help them choose the subjects in Higher Education. During theprogram, the participants went through holistic grooming as they were exposed toa vast array of extra Curricular and recreational activities like Yoga,Personality Development etc and Sports Activities like Shooting, Squash, Tennis,Football, Horse Riding etc along with the knowledge of their preferredprogramme.
Congratulating the students on theirgraduation from Summer School, Mr. AtulChauhan, Chancellor, Amity University (Uttar Pradesh) said that the mainaim of the Program was to help students realize the real calling of their livesand at the end of this programme, the students are expected to be betterinformed and empowered to make a career choice. Mr. Chauhan further added thatthere is lot of population in this world but very few amongst them aresuccessful because they prefer to do things differently. “The presence of the participantssignifies that they are from that small percentage of people that can make adifference since they took the initiative to join the program rather than sittingat home during the vacation,” he opined.
During the ceremony, participantsshared their experience of the Summer School.
Ankush Kaushik,a student who studied Journalism said that before the programme he was a very enthusiasticperson but at the same time, camera shy but now he has gained a lot ofconfidence to face the camera. He added that he enjoyed his stay at the hostel whichhelped him learn to adjust in all kinds of surroundings. Applauding thecultural events which took place during the Summer School, Kaushik said that itwas an euphoric experience since it gave him an opportunity to have an impromptusession with the audience and polished his anchoring skills.
Another participant Ashma Sachdeva, while expressing herviews on Summer School, started her speech with the quote “People may not lastforever but memories do” and stressed that the two week program has given herso many fond memories which she will cherish life long. She further added thatit was a privilege for her to have attend the school and it had been an amazinglearning experience as she got the opportunity to interact with the industryexperts and doyens that helped her decide her career.
