Ms Varija Bajaj also spoke at length about her associations with various organizations like Gitanjali, ASSOCHAM, Indian Cancer Society etc for joint shows. She also mentioned & shared her experience of designing clothes for various Bollywood actresses like Jacqueline Fernandis, Asin and KarishmaKapoor
VARIJA also shared her journey from the start of her career to the opening of her flagship store at Defence Colony in Delhi, She also mentioned that she keeps visiting her 40 multi brand stores Pan-India to know and understand the requirements of her customers and then create the products to effectively meet their requirements. She spoke at length about how she brings innovation in her bridal collections which is her forte.
She took pride in sharing that being a successful entrepreneur, in an unorganized fashion sector, she is now a case study in ISB Hyderabad, the most reputed B-schools of the country. She has taught in over 12 fashion colleges apart from FMS Delhi and XIC(Xaviers) Mumbai
She also apprised the gathering about her project called "VARIJA Life"- a research project on clothing needs of "special children". The students were very keen to know as to how , where and when this thought came to her & how she is taking this whole concept further.
Ms Varija Bajaj shared the gems of wisdom with the audience. Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Joshi, Director, (ASFT, ASFA & ASPA), actively participated in the Talk-Show. The students’ quest for knowledge was worth witnessing, as Ms Bajaj faced a torrent of questions ranging from the possible career options, essential qualifications, how to prepare oneself to face the industry &develop them to the more inquisitive queries like her inspiration, philosophy of design etc.
