Amity Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences celebrates Amity Human Values Quarter

Amity University has adopted human values as a regular feature of academic environment and converted these into a movement. In order to instill humanistic values amongst its students, Amity Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences began its most cherished Amity Human Value Quarter-2014 celebrations with the Inter-Institution Poster Making/Slogan Writing Competition on Tuesday, 25th February, 2014.

 

Under the guidance and vision of Dr. JP Singh, Chairman, AFDD, Amity Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences strives towards taking the initiative for creating disability awareness among the youths of the nation and help the differently abled persons to achieve the deserving status in the society. With this aim and mission, the theme decided for the Poster Making/Slogan Writing Competition was “Disability As Diversity” with sub themes such as 'Happiness Is Being Included', 'Recognize My Abilities , Emphasize My Possibilities', 'My Ability Is Stronger Than My Disability, ‘Equity, Diversity, Inclusion'. Ms. Anusuya K. Yadav (Asst. Professor, AIRS) coordinated the event.

 

Twelve teams from various Amity Institutions participated namely AIAE, AIBS, AIPT, ASIBAS, AIE etc. Dr. Shefali Raizada, Asst. Director, Amity Law School judged the competition. She appreciated the theme selected and acknowledged the value based creative instincts showcased by the participants. The first position was bagged by Ms. Chesta Wadhwa and Ms. Rupa Pathak of AIPT, second position by Mr. Bhavesh Gulati of AIAE and the third position by Ms. Nupur Nandi Singh of AIBS.
