Amity Institute of Education, Amity University organises ‘Lecture cum Workshop on Action Research’
The Amity Institute of Education, Amity University Uttar Pradesh in collaboration with Amity Institute of Education, New Delhi, GGSIP University New Delhi organized a ‘Lecture cum Workshop on Action Research’ at Amity Institute of Education, AUUP, on January 24, 2014.
Eminent academician, researcher and practitioner, Professor Chandra B Sharma, from School of Education, IGNOU was the resource person on this occasion. He was formally welcomed by Professor (Dr) Ranjana Bhatia, Principal, AIE, New Delhi and Dr Alka Muddgal, Offg Head, AIE, AUUP. Approximately 300 students of B Ed and M Ed programme from the sister institutions benefitted from the interactive sessions conducted on this day.
In the pre workshop session the students scribbled their views on ‘Action Research on a board put up outside the venue. After this the students were divided according to the choice of their pedagogy into four groups: Language, Science, Mathematics and Social Sciences.
These groups performed their tasks in groups of ten, which was followed by the oral presentation of their proposed action research plan to the participants. This presentation was followed by fruitful interaction between the resource persons and the students on the identified problem and action research plan. The students found this lecture cum workshop extremely useful.
