Amity International School, Mayur Vihar hosts Valedictory cum farewell function for the student delegates from United States of America
Amity International School, Mayur Vihar hosted Valedictory cum farewell function for the student delegates from United States of America on 6th August 2010. The function was graced by the Chairperson of Amity Schools, Dr.( Mrs) Amita Chauhan, and the representatives of AFS, American Centre and the host families. The 16 US students studied Hindi language for six weeks at Amity Mayur Vihar under the NSLI Hindi language programme.
The US students mesmerized everybody by anchoring the whole programme in Hindi. They left the audiences spell bound by presenting a dance with classical touch on Ganesh Vandana and singing a Hindi song in their mellifluous voice. The skit presented by them in Hindi struck an emotional chord with the audience. Towards the conclusion of the programme, Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity International Schools applauded the enthusiasm shown by the students and presented them with mementos and certificates.
The whole programme provided an opportunity to build up warm ties between two nations through Student Exchange Programme
