Continuing Rehabilitation Education Program on ‘Positive Behaviour support for Children with Special Needs’

Amity Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences organized 03 Days Continuing Rehabilitation Education Program on ‘Positive Behaviour support for Children with Special Needs’ recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India from 26thto 28th December, 2018 at Mata Bhagwanti Chaddha Niketan, Noida Sector-132 with an objective to provide an in-depth insight into the Positive Behaviour and Behaviour Management Techniques for Children with Special Needs.

Dr Vandana Sharma ,Director Mata Bhagwanti Chaddha Niketan, Noida Sector-132 along with Prof. (Dr.) Jayanti Pujari (Director, AIRS-AUUP) inaugurated the CRE Program by lighting the lamp.

 

At the 03 days CRE Programme, participants were acquainted about the role of Positive Behaviour in current teaching learning process. They were also given an understanding about the importance of different art forms to provide a positive, innovative and supportive environment for Children with Special Needs.

 

Different sessions on ‘Positive Behaviour Supportfor CWSN’, ‘Applied Behaviour Analysis’, ‘Behaviour Management Techniques’, ‘Managing challenging behaviours through positive practices’, ‘Drama Therapy’ and ‘Dance Therapy’ were organized during the 03 days programme by experts from the field of special education and creative arts. Prof. (Dr.) Jayanti Pujari (Director, AIRS-AUUP) displayed an over viewof Positive Behaviour Support for Children with Special Needs. She emphasized on how the special educators can alter the challenging behavior to a positive behavior in the classroom. Ms. Sheeba Naqvi (Vice Principal, MBCN, Noida), Ms. Shaloo Sharma (Founder Director,Evoluer Solutions), Dr. Maneesh Samnani and Dr. Rajkumar Thapa,Occupational Therapist and Ms. Akanksha Mishra (Registered Dance Therapist,New Delhi) were among the resource persons.

Ms. Pallavi Chauhan (Joint Director, AIRS-AUUP)appreciated the efforts of organizing team of AIRS and Mata Bhagwanti Chaddha Niketan. She also praised the enthusiasm shown by participants. All the participants shared their experiences of the 3 days of CRE and accepted that the event has geared up their thoughts towards the implication of Behaviour Management Techniques in the field of disability.
