Delegation from Lakehead University, Canada visits Amity University to mull over the potential areas of mutual collaboration
A Delegation comprising of two senior academicians- Dr. Ulf Runesson- Dean, Lakehead University, Canada and Dr. Chandra Sahi- IFS (Retd.), Lakehead University, Canada visited Amity University, Sector- 125, Noida to discuss and deliberate the potential areas of mutual collaboration

Dr. Saran- Senior Vice Chairman- Amity Science Technology and Innovation Foundation and Prof. B K P Sinha- Director, Amity School of Natural Resources and Sustainable Development.
Welcoming the distinguished delegation,
Dr. Sunil Saran- Senior Vice Chairman, Amity Science Technology and Innovation Foundation said that Amity University not only imparts quality education to its students but also makes them aware about the importance of conservation of Environment so that they can further disseminate this crucial information to the masses. He informed the distinguished members of the delegation that Amity School of Natural Resources and Sustainable Development has been regularly conducting training programmes for IAS and IFS officers wherein several issues related to conservation of environment are discussed and deliberated at length.
Talking about Lakehead University, Canada,
Dr. Ulf Runesson apprised the gathering about the various programmes run under the University, number of students enrolled, R& D activities carried on by the researchers and numerous collaborative projects undertaken by the University. Dr. Runesson expressed his desire to collaborate with Amity University and devise joint programmes and facilitate joint research in the areas of Natural Resource Management, Forest Management, Deforestation and Conservation of Wild Life.
Addressing the gathering,
Dr. Chandra Sahi dwelt upon the remarkable research work carried on by the researchers and scientists of Lakehead University, Canada in the areas of Forest and Environment Conservation and stressed that mutual collaboration in these areas will immensely benefit and enrich the teachers, researchers and students of both the countries
Also present during the occasion were Prof. S S Agrawal- Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh Amity International Business School, Dr. Sanjeev Bansal-Acting Head, Amity School of Urban and Rural Management and Senior Directors and Head of the institutions of Amity University
The delegation was taken around the campus and shown magnificent campus including impressive infrastructure, state of the art laboratories and Amity Innovation Incubator
