Siddhant Satija, Student, ASET develop a software which can design social networking websites

Siddhant Satija, a prodigy pursuing B Tech Computer Science from Amity School of Engineering and Technology, Amity University has done his institute and the entire University proud by developing a software through which a layman can design a social networking website like “ Facebook”, “ Yahoo”, “ G- Mail” Siddhant, a second year student, did a seminal research on Web 2.0 implementation in Social Networking which was selected to be presented at National Conference sponsored by CSIR at SPSU, Udaipur from March 6-7, 2010.

On March 6, 2010, Siddhant demonstrated through his thirty minutes presentation as to how everyone can design a social networking website that does not involves much of coding and how it can easily be integrated with free services available such as youtube,flickr,facebook,gmail,yahoo,etc. by customizing a PHP based CMS known as “DRUPAL”. The genius has customized “DRUPAL” in such a way that social networking websites made using DRUPAL will have double the speed than the original ones.

Siddhant also gave a live Demo of his upcoming Project “AGYA” wherein he has endeavored to incorporate the fundamentals of his breakthrough research. The first ever of its kind, Project “AGYA” would be the only social networking website for careers in the Defence Forces of India. The project is in the final stages of launching and the newly designed portal will boast of some of the very distinctive features, not available in any other social networking website.

This project is associated with his startup company known as RitSan Technologies which he runs from Amity Innovation Incubator. His start up deals in Web Development and Social Media Marketing campaigns. Siddhant has been awarded with an achievement certificate for his research by SPSU and CSIR and his research paper would be published in the month of May and would be circulated across all prominent colleges of India.

Siddhant is one of the core team members of Amity Sun Technology Club and frequently conducts workshops at the university teaching the students as to how to get hands on experience in opn source technologies. He says that he is still not satisfied with what he has achieved as this is just the beginning as he plans to present his researches at international platforms within a few months.
