Prof. Vivek Kumar, HOD, Mechanical and Automation Engg, ASET welcomed the speaker. After that there was an address by the Prof. (Dr.) Ravi Prakash, Director, Amity School of Engineering and Technology. The Director explained the importance of mechatronics and servo-hydraulic controls from his personal experience.
The Dr. Sead Avdic kept the audience interactively engaged, enthused, and excited. He introduced the audience to the concept of Mechatronics. He delved upon the origin and the history of the subject. He later explained the relevance of the subject in the current context. The speaker explained the importance of the subject in automotive, aerospace and other industrial applications. He also touched upon the concept of hydrostatic transmission of power. The applications based on hydrostatic systems are made of pumps, valves, and actuators etc. He clearly explained the concept of servo hydraulic controls. His lecture was full of examples from the real world. The lecture was also very anecdotal, drawing from his experience from the war in Bosnia and his experience in teaching and research at University of Tuzla. The audience comprised of HODs, HOIs, faculty and students.
