Amity Directorate of Distance & Online Education organizes its 28th B-Annual Meet

Amity Directorate of Distance & Online Education (ADDOE) stands for high quality cost-efficient management learning. It has been catering to the educational needs of thousands of students and working professionals.

Continuing with this endeavor, Amity Directorate of Distance & Online Education (ADDOE) organized its 28th Orientation cum Bi-Annual meet to start their new session and familiarize the new batch with the working of the institute. The ceremony started with the traditional lighting of the lamp by Mr. Ajit Chauhan, Vice Chairman – ADDOE; Dr. Balvinder Shukla,Acting Vice Chancellor – Amity University; Maj.Gen. (Dr.) Surendar Kumar, Advisor- ADDOE, and Mr. Abhinash Kumar- Jt. Director, ADDOE.

Welcoming the students to ADDOE
, Maj.Gen. (Dr.) Surendar Kumar asserted the importance of distance learning in today’s fast paced world. He said that it is only with the support of industry,academia, faculty, staff and students that we strive to be better facilitators for enhancing our student’s competencies. It also widens the exposure to the prevailing business environment. While sharing his thoughts with the students he said that for achieving success in life three principles should be followed“Aham Brahmasmi” i.e. faith in self, “Atmanam Vidhi” i.e. to introspect oneself and “Shradha Vidya” i.e. commitment and competency to achieve goals.. He also added that in the present day world there seems less of disconnect between business and ethical conduct.


Mr. Ajit Chauhan, Vice Chairman – ADDOE said that all the students of distance learning are very close to the heart of Amity.  He told the students to turn their dreams into reality, compassion and values which are significant. Distance learning aims at continuous learning and enhancing competencies of both head and heart. One should not expect to go through life seeking recommendation and favours but built own capabilities.

While addressing the students, Dr. Balvinder Shukla,Acting Vice Chancellor – Amity University said that most of the distance learning students are working in various capacities in different organization. While working and enrolling for distance education is a right decision for your career development. For fulfillment of your aspirations, you need determination. One should have leadership quality and strong value system within to go forward in success track.

Expressing the gratitude towards his alma mater, alumni of ADDOE, Mr. Vineet Bhasin, Vice President – Royal Bank of Scotland said that he was really privileged to have completed MBA from the institute which had not only changed my career path but also inculcated in me the human and behavioral values.

Mr. Abhinash Kumar appraised the students with Amity Directorate of Distance & Online Education and its various programmes including PG Diplomas in various disciplines, MBA- 3 years, Executive MBA, corporate tie- ups of ADDOE,programme cycle followed, teaching methodology, assignments, External and Internal assessments, Personal Contact Programmes (PCP) and various specializations offered at ASODL.


During the occasion,study material was distributed amongst the students. New students were familiarized with staff of ADDOE operating from different centres in Defence Colony, Gurgaon, Saket, Janakpuri and Vasundhra. They were introduced to thec ulture and traditions at Amity. The function saw extensive interaction between the students and the management.
