Amity Institute of Travel & Tourism organised Inter University Debate Competition on the occasion of World Tourism Day.
The Topic for the Debate Competition was "Can tourism be blamed for the over exploitation of water resources at the destination”. This year’s theme highlighted role of tourism inwater access and shines a spotlight on the actions currently being taken by thesector in order to contribute to a more sustainable water future, as well asthe challenges ahead.
Leading TourismInstitutes of India like Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel ManagementNoida, Jamia Millia Islamia, Kuoni Academy, Dev Sanskriti VishwaVidyalay, Haridwar, Instituteof Hotel Management and Catering Technology and others participated along with 14 inter Amity Institutions fromEngineering, Management, Forensic Sciences , Law School, Management and Amity LawSchool .
The Jury comprised ofLeading Travel and Tour Operators from New Delhi.Mr. Rothin Sircar, Director Tour Lovers, Mr. Joy Dutta, Director Omega Travels, Mr. Shuchit Mangal, Director, ID H Destination Pvt Ltd.
The Students were judgedbasing on their Confidence, Communication, Body Language and Assertiveness.
The Teams competed for themost exciting prizes Sponsored by TourLovers Pvt ltd, Omega Travel pvt Ltd, and Futuro Lichst. The First Prize was5nt/6day package to Kashmir. The Second prize was 3nt /4 days to Goa, Thirdprize 3nts/4 day’s package to Manali, Consolation Prize to khajuraho for onenight and a Very Special OratorPrize to the Best Speaker among all the Contestants.
