Short Duration DGR Sponsored Courses in Business Management for Retiring Defence Officers and JCOs of Army, Navy and Air Force commenced at Amity Institute of Education & Training” (AIET), Amity University.

The courses are being conducted under the aegis of Amity Business School. These are very versatile courses which have been specially structured to meet the ever growing demand for the Defence Service Officers & Personnel in the Corporate Sector.  These courses will equip them with Skills and Knowledge to take on Second Career opportunities after their retirement from the Defence Forces. The courses are  sponsored by Directorate General of Resettlement, Ministry of Defence.

Dr Balvinder Shukla, Acting Vice Chancellor, AUUP, who graced the  combined Inaugural Function   held on 06 Aug 13, was a great motivating force for the course participants. While addressing the participants, she said that they with the traits and experience acquired in Armed Forces, sky is the limit to which they can aspire to rise in their second innings. Commodore N N Rao, VSM, Principal Director, Directorate General of Resettlement, Ministry of Defence, was the guest of honour for the function who advised the participants to put in their best during the course. Dr Sanjay Shrivastava, Dean, Examination & Faculty of Management Studies, also addressed the course participants. The welcome address was delivered by Maj Gen S Bindra, Senior Director AIET, on this occasion.

Subsequently, the pace was set for the course with conduct of three captivating sessions  on “Entrepreneurship Process & Leadership” for the officers on 08 Aug 13 by Dr Balvinder Shukla, Acting Vice Chancellor, herself,  inspite of her over busy schedule.  Dr Sanjay Shrivastava, Dean, Examination & Faculty of Management Studies, also addressed the officers on the Fine Skills of Management required for the Corporate World.
