“Sanskrit should be connected with employment”, says Mr. Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for Human Resource Development at Amity University

Three day All India Youth Sanskrit Conference concluded at Amity University Campus, Sector-125 Noida. Mr. Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for Human Resource Development; Justice Vikas Shridhar Sirpurkar, Former Judge – Supreme Court of India; Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Founder President – Amity Group; Mr. Anand Chauhan, Trustee – Ritnand Balved Education Foundation; Prof. Shashi Prabha Kumar, Vice President – Delhi Sanskrit Academy were present during the valedictory ceremony. The conference was organized by Delhi Sanskrit Academy in association with Amity University Noida.

While addressing around 575 Sanskrit scholars from All over India, Mr. Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for Human Resource Development said that the major obstacle for Sanskrit students and scholars is non availability of ample job opportunities. Students can be more attracted to the subject if it is linked with more jobs. Another challenge is the computerization of Sanskrit which needs to be overcome. Mr. Prasada thanked the efforts of Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Founder President - Amity Group in the development of Sanskrit language. Mr. Prasada said that biggest strength of our country is our youth and if they are not guided well then this strength may become the biggest weakness. Mr. Prasada added, country has witnessed wide changes in education sector, many languages were introduced and vanished but Sanskrit is still present. Sanskrit has given our history and our thoughts. Mr. Prasada said that another obstacle in promoting Sanskrit is its recognition and he will try that National Institute of Open Schooling recognizes all the Gurukuls of country. Mr Prasada said that he will always work for the betterment and development of Sanskrit with the support from all Sanskrit enthusiasts.

Presiding the concluding ceremony, Justice Vikas Shridhar Sirpurkar, Former Judge – Supreme Court of India said that Sanskrit is the source of science, culture and knowledge of our country. All the ancient literatures like Vedas, Upnashids, philosophy, Mahabharat, Ramayan etc written by holy saints are written in Sanskrit which is still preserved today. This language not only contains our ancient culture but also the secrets of universe and outer space philosophy is also available in this language. He also suggested that Sanskrit should also be adopted in legal studies.

While blessing the scholars and participants of Sanskrit Conference, Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Founder President – Amity Group said that Amity University is committed in promoting Sanskrit language. Sanskrit is the base of our ancient Indian history and culture and by preserving the language we can preserve the whole civilization. From Sanskrit came Sanskriti of the country and Sanskars in the society, commented Dr. Chauhan.

Briefing the audience regarding the outcome of  All India Youth Sanskrit Conference, Prof. Shashi Prabha Kumar, Vice President – Delhi Sanskrit Academy said that the three day conference saw participation of around 575 Sanskrit scholars and paper presentation by more than 600 participants from all over the country.
