H.E. Mr. Amadou Moustapha DIOUF, Ambassador of Senegal in India visits Amity University to discuss potential areas of mutual cooperation
A high level delegation comprising of H.E. Mr. Amadou Moustapha DIOUF, Ambassador of Senegal in India, Prof.(Mrs) Aminata Sall Diallo, Medical Prof - Technical Advisor to the Minister,Mrs Aminata Fall, Prof. Fadel Niang and Mr. Demba Camara, Second Counsellor, Embassy of Senegal visited Amity University to discuss the potential areas of mutual cooperation between educational institutions of Senegal and Amity University, Uttar Pradesh.
The delegation was welcomed by Dr.Gurinder Singh, Addl. Vice Chancellor ,Amity Group and Shri R.M. Aggarwal, Addl. DG, Amity Centre for International Cooperation and Alliance.
Various potential areas of mutual cooperation were broached during the discussions between H.E.Mr. Amadou Moustapha DIOUF, Ambassador of Senegal in India and Dr.Gurinder Singh, Addl. Vice Chancellor ,Amity Group including collaboration in the area of Applied Sciences especially Biotechnology and Applied Physics,facilitating research interests by guiding research scholars & doctoral students of Senegal and starting virtual Amity Campus or its extension counter in Senegal to provide world class education amongst the youth of Senegal.
H.E Mr. Amadou Moustapha DIOUF, during the discussion, suggested promoting Amity University in Senegal so that more and more students and institutions could become part of the mutual exchanges in terms of students and faculty. He expressed a desire to initiate mutual collaboration and engagement between Amity University and educational institutes of Senegal through sabbatical leave assignments, lectures, conferences, internships,workshops, collaborative research, joint projects with business and industry,and professional development programs. He also mooted the suggestion of increasing the number of Senegal students enrolled in Pan African e-Network Program with Amity University Online.
Also present during the visit were Dr. R P Singh- Advisor, Amity Institute of Nanotechnology and few representatives from FICCI
The delegation was taken around the Campus and shown state of the art Amity Innovation Incubator, Amity Online Education, Laboratories, well stacked Central Library and other infrastructure.
