Basic Human Resource Management Training Programme for Bhutan Power Corporation Personnel begins at Amity Institute of Education

Amity Institute of Education, New Delhi jointly with Amity Institute of Education,Amity University are conducting “Basic Human Resource Management TrainingProgramme” for 12 personnel of Bhutan Power Corporation Limited (BPCL) fromSeptember 2-10, 2013 at Amity University Campus, Sector-125, Noida.

Prof. Ranjana Bhatia- Prof. and Principal, Amity Institute of Education, New Delhi and Dr. Alka Mudgal, Officiating Principal, Amity Institute ofEducation, AUUP inaugurated the training program with the lighting of the lampand welcomed all the participants from Bhutan

Prof. Ranjana Bhatia- Prof. and Principal, Amity Instituteof Education, New Delhi said that it is matter of great pride that Amity ishosting the training program for personnel of BPCL for the third time at AmityUniversity. Dr. Bhatia shared the list of topics that will be covered duringthe training programme such as “Human Resource Management”, “Internal CustomerCare”, “Importance of Communication”, “Stress Management”, “Strategies to setSMART goals”, “Work Ethics”, and “Basic Accounting Concepts”.

Dr.Alka Mudgal, Officiating Principal, Amity Instituteof Education, AUUP said that this workshop will give us an opportunity to lookinto each others culture and tradition. Bhutan is always very special for Indiaand share rich history. With this workshop the bond between two countries willfurther strengthen. 


The inaugural ceremony was followed by interactive sessions on “Human ResourceManagement” in which lively discussions took place between the trainers and theparticipants.

Thetwo weeks of training will see fruitful discussions between the participantsand the trainers, empowering BPCL employees with the skills and tools ofefficient management and adding value to their professional as well as personallives.

Various interactive methods like role plays, simulations, team buildingactivities and management games will be used to make the training lively,interesting and effective. Experienced faculty members from the Amity Instituteof Education, New Delhi and Noida will conduct the sessions

Expressinghis happiness for being part of the training program, Mr. Dorji Namgiyalfrom HR Department of BPCL said he is overwhelmed by the hospitality of AmityUniversity. He said that through this training program he will get moreknowledge about the human resource management which he can implement in hiswork.

Anotherparticipant Ms. Yang Chen that all the participants of this trainingprogram are selected on the basis of their performance in the company. Aftergetting the training we can utlilise it by way of giving customer orientedservices. Faculty of Amity are knowledgeable and are helping in clearing ourdoubts.

Mr.Devicharan Guragai said that after undergoing thistraining he will be well equipped with the skills in management with practicalapproach. All the experience of this training program will be shown by way ofour working with the customers. Commenting on India-Bhutan relations, he saidthat as father has to look after their children, similarly India is lookingafter Bhutan.
